If there are two things "The Hills'" Lauren Conrad knows, it's fashion and parties. The reality star talked to ET about her Emmy excitement as she hosted the End of Summer Bash at Hard Rock Hotel's Moonstone Lounge in San Diego.

"The fact that I get to go and present and they're giving me the opportunity to do the dress, it's huge," Lauren says.

Lauren was asked to design a gown for the women who hand out the Emmy statuettes which she made to match the award show. She describes the gown, "I did green because green [is the] theme for the Emmys this year."

Lauren also designed the dress she will be wearing to the awards show and says it is very similar to the dress she designed for the statuette presenters.

In addition to being a fashion designer and hosting fabulous parties, Lauren is also trying her hand as an author.

Lauren talked to ET about signing on to ink a three-book fictional series aimed at young adults. The first book in the series is scheduled to hit stores the summer of 2009.
