ET confirms that actor Ryan O'Neal and his son Redmond were arrested on suspicion of narcotics possession this morning after Redmond's probation search at the actor's Malibu home.

Deputies found Redmond O'Neal, 23, in possession of methamphetamine, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore tells ET, adding that the drug was also found in Ryan's room.

The father and son are both being held on $10,000 bail.
