Opera Season has begun in New York City and ET caught up with celebs Christie Brinkley, John Lithgow and Regis Philbin as they arrived to the formal affair!

Christie arrived with her son as her date to the opera. She was wearing a gorgeous black Ralph Lauren gown.

Lithgow had the night off from working on his Broadway play with Katie Holmes to attend the event. Lithgow talks about working with Holmes and describes her as "marvelous."

And renowned talk show host, Regis, arrived to the opera with wife Joyce and talked about what it feels like to hold the record for most hours on camera! "16,100 [hours on TV] and what does this make it if I get on ET?" Regis jokes.

This year's opening night of the opera included simulcasts in Times Square and Fordham University.
