ET was there as major hip hop stars -- including Wyclef Jean and Busta Rhymes -- joined rocker Kid Rock and "30 Rock" star Tracy Morgan for music and fun at VH1's annual Hip Hop Awards.
The event, held at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom, celebrates the visions and innovations of artists who contributed to making hip hop a major cultural force around the world.
In addition to a night of great music, the show also had its share of funny moments, thanks to the hosting duties of former "Saturday Night Live" funnyman and "30 Rock" star Tracy Morgan.
ET got an exclusive spot in Tracy's dressing room as he hosted the show and the actor/comedian shared his thoughts on tonight's debate of VP candidates, as well as his role on "30 Rock" and working with Tina Fey.
The audience was treated to performances by Cypress Hill, Naughty By Nature, Lil Jon, Flavor Flav and many others, as hip hop's old and new joined forces to bridge the generational gap.
The VH1 Hip Hop Honors will air on the cable music channel October 6 at 10 p.m. ET.
