Mary Hart and Kirk Douglas Honored at High Flying Fundraiser

 

People only have great things to say about ET's Mary Hart!  A powerful network of TV news people and broadcast journalists gathered together at the second annual High Flying Fundraiser at the Santa Monica Airport in Los Angeles on Saturday, where Mary was honored with The Good News Foundation's Lifetime Achievement Award!

Anne and Kirk Douglas were also honored as the Good News Makers of the Year at the charity luncheon awards presentation held at the exclusive Hangar 8. Their Anne & Kirk Douglas Playground Award program offers assistance to the L.A. Unified School District to enhance the playgrounds at public schools, having achieved their goal of 400 grants for a total of $8 million in contributions.

The Good News Foundation's annual fundraising luncheon awards grant money, scholarships and special recognition to certain outstanding individuals making a dedicated difference in the communities Mary and these other journalists cover on a daily news basis.
