He participated in a Las Vegas robbery.
O.J. Simpson was found guilty of armed robbery, kidnapping and 10 other counts in Las Vegas on Friday -- a development that could land him in jail for the rest of his life, says the Associated Press.
Simpson "released a heavy sigh," says the AP, as the court recited the charges, and he was promptly swept into police custody. His lawyer said he'd appeal.
According to the AP, kidnapping can result in five years to life in prison, while armed robbery carries a punishment of five years to life. O.J.'s sentence will be determined in court on Dec. 5.
Prosecutors said that last year, the disgraced football star rounded up five other men (two packing guns) and robbed two sports-collectible dealers in Las Vegas.
Coincidentally, the verdict in the case came 13 years to the day after Simpson was acquitted of murdering his wife Nicole and her friend Ronald Goldman in one of the most controversial and public celebrity criminal trials ever, says the AP.
Simpson was later found responsible for their deaths in a civil trial.
