After a very difficult month, DJ AM, aka Adam Goldstein, is finally home from South Carolina and recuperating after the tragic plane crash that also seriously injured Blink 182's Travis Barker. Due to the sad turn of events, People magazine reports that DJ AM's famous friends have rallied together to show their support for their dear friend with a special benefit concert for victims of the Sept. 19 crash.
The organizers of the event said in a statement that AM has been "a close friend for many years. We owe him a dept of gratitude that we can never repay, but we hope this helps just a bit."
The concert will be held on Oct. 14 -- just less than a month after the crash -- and will be rocking the Avalon in Hollywood. Scheduled to appear at the fundraiser are celeb spinners: Mark Ronson, Danny Masterson, Steve Aoki, and Mixmaster Mike.
On Sept. 19 pilot Sarah Lemmon, co-pilot James Bland, security guard Charles Still, and Barker's assistant Chris Baker all lost their lives in the horrendous crash. The proceeds of this event will go to the memorial funds that have been set up for the four victims.
Tickets to DJ AM's big bash are $20 and available at wantickets.com.
