Thursday night's episode of "Survivor" opened with a game-changer. After the Fang and Kota tribes secretly ranked each other according to importance, host Jeff Probst announced a shocking twist – the players would now choose new tribes!

Matt was voted most important in his Fang tribe, and Marcus was named king of Kota, so they were the first to choose team members.

The new Kota team comprised of Marcus, Dan, Charlie, Randy, Corinne, Suzie and Bob, while the new Fang team ended up being Matt, Ace, Crystal, Jacquie, Ken, Kelly and G.C. The odd woman out was Sugar, who was sent back to Exile Island, and wouldn't return until after the next Tribal Council and take the place of the next person to be voted off.

Back at camp, new alliances were being formed. Crystal, Ken and G.C., the remaining original Fang members, noticed that Kelly didn't get along with their new teammates Ace and Jacquie, and decided to approach her about joining up with them.

Meanwhile, at Exile Island, since Sugar already found the immunity idol last week, when choosing between "comfort" and a clue, she chose comfort, gaining access to a gazebo with a variety of fruit to eat and a comfortable hammock. She mused on which team she would join when she got back, hoping to re-join Ace on the Fang team, saying, "Hopefully they'll vote off Kelly and then I can take her spot."

The tribes headed off for the immunity challenge, and in a game resembling water lacrosse, the teams had to balance on round boats and use paddles to get a ball through the other team's goal. The Kota team dominated completely, repeating the same play -- Marcus hustling to the ball and then easily passing it to Randy, who scored three goals.

After Kelly's disappointing performance in the challenge, back at camp, the team wavered between sending her or Jacquie home. On the one hand, if they sent Kelly home, they might be ganged up on by Jacquie, Sugar and Ace if it turned out that Sugar had the immunity idol. On the other hand, Jacquie was one of their physically strongest players, so they'd be losing a physical advantage by giving her the ax.

It was a battle of the blondes at tribal council as Fang attempted to decide between sending home Kelly or Jacquie. In the end the remaining Fang members chose the divide and conquer approach, getting rid of Jacquie, and keeping Kelly.
