Golf enthusiast and role model philanthropist Justin Timberlake rallied good friends in high places to pull off his celebrity-driven charity events in Las Vegas this past week -- The Justin Timberlake and Friends Benefit and The Shriners Hospitals for Children Open -- and our own Jann Carl spoke with the Grammy winning megastar!
On Saturday, Justin and pro golfer Butch Harmon ran a junior golf clinic to teach golf techniques to 100 kids -- half of them who are Shriners patients -- following the third round of the Open. Golf pros vying for the big Open win include John Daly, Brett Quigley, Bob Estes and Mark Hensby.
On Friday night, Justin aligned himself with an incredible list of musical talent (including the Jonas Brothers, Rihanna, Will.i.am, Adam Levine (of Maroon 5), 50 Cent, Boyz II Men, Esmee Denters and Leona Lewis) at the Planet Hollywood Resort Theatre for the Performing Arts for his Justin Timberlake and Friends Benefit, also to help raise funds for Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Shriners Hospitals for Children is an international health care system of 22 hospitals dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing pediatric specialty care, innovative medical research and teaching programs. Children up to the age of 18 with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate conditions are eligible for care and receive all services at no charge -- regardless of financial need.
