On Sunday, tabloid reports out of the U.K. claimed that David Duchovny's alleged tennis instructor said she had had an affair with the "Californication" star. Now, Duchovny's rep, Stanton "Larry "Stein, tells ET that Edit Pakay has come forward to deny any such affair, calling the reports "[lies] and deceit."

"Ms. Pakay wrote me an e-mail, completely unsolicited by me or Mr. Duchovny," says Stein in a statement, "and told me that she wanted to go on record that … she and David Duchovny are friends, that she never had a romantic or sexual relationship with David Duchovny, David Duchovny had never paid her for tennis instruction, she had no romantic feelings toward David Duchovny and that David Duchovny had no romantic feelings toward her. In direct reference to the article, Ms. Pakay said that this is all "lie and deceit." I met with Ms. Pakay again today. She has signed a declaration under penalty of perjury, which includes the following two paragraphs:

"David Duchovny and I are friends. We have never had, and do not have, a romantic or sexual relationship. I do not have romantic feelings toward him and, based on our interactions, I believe that David Duchovny does not have romantic feelings toward me.

"The last time that I met up with David Duchovny was almost a year ago, in November 2007, when we made plans to play tennis. His personal trainer was also with us. Since November 2007, I have not seen David Duchovny, other than running into him briefly at the gym in March 2008 where he was working out."

Earlier this month, Duchovny checked out of a sex addiction treatment facility and confirmed to ET that he and wife Tea Leoni have separated.
