Police say they have called off the Amber Alert issued for Jennifer Hudson's missing nephew, Julian King.
Early this morning, Chicago police located the white SUV. The body of a young boy was discovered inside.
Illinois State Police Lt. Luis Gutierrez confirms that the Amber Alert has been cancelled for the vehicle and for Julian. They are no longer looking for the car or the missing child. In the police database the child is still listed as missing until someone identifies the body.
During a press conference this morning, police said they received a call about a suspicious automobile and confirmed it was the vehicle identified in the Amber Alert issued Friday after the seven-year-old's disappearance.
Previously, Chicago police spokeswoman Monique Bond was quoted as saying that authorities consider Julian's stepfather, William Balfour, a "person of interest" in the case but he has not been charged. On Sunday, Balfour was transferred to the Illinois Department of Corrections "based on his active parole violation unrelated to this investigation."
