ET takes you to the New York premiere of the Oscar-winning director's new film 'Frost/Nixon,' which delves into one of the most important political interviews of all time.
Among those gracing the red carpet at Manhattan's Ziegfeld Theatre were Oscar-winning producer Brian Grazer and cast members Kevin Bacon, Frank Langella, Oliver Platt, Sam Rockwell, Michael Sheen and Rebecca Hall.
Howard, who tells ET he was drawn to the project because of its unusual subject matter, said the finshed product was an incredibly entertaining and suspensful movie. The film, which retells the post-Watergate television interviews between British talk-show host David Frost and former president Richard Nixon, hits theaters December 5.
Frost himself attended the premiere and said his Nixon interview was the biggest in his journalistic career. "When I saw Nixon resigning, I thought this is the most fascinating interview one could get -- in the world."
