Looking radiant in an off-the-shoulder red cocktail dress, is Rihanna covering up a new tattoo over her heart?

Not exactly. The 20-year-old singer was snapped looking stunning in New York Wednesday at the launch of Gucci's Tattoo Heart Collection. She does, however, have new -- and permanent -- ink on her wrist.

"It's tribal," she told People. "It represents strength and love." She also revealed that she got her new tat while in New Zealand. "It's their traditional way of tattooing," she added. "I always wanted [one]." Though the Maori-inspired geometric design looks cool, she admits, "It hurt like hell!"

The singer is the new face of the collection's latest ad campaign to benefit The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
