ET is continuing our series of stories on Ruby Gettinger, a woman who is struggling with her weight.
In today's video, Ruby shares her frustration with going to the gym, but shows great perseverance in working out despite the challenges.
"If Ruby, after being fat her whole life, can conquer this and actually be small and lose weight and healthy -- then anybody can do this," Ruby says. "And I'm hoping that there's a way that we can find out the truth behind this."
At her heaviest, Ruby weighed 700 pounds. When her doctor told her that she would die in two or three years if she didn't lose weight, she decided to lose weight.
The Savannah, GA, resident's efforts to lose weight have been chronicled in nine powerful and heartwarming non-scripted episodes airing Sunday nights on The Style Network, simply titled "Ruby." She hopes to help others realize that they are not alone -- and if she can do it, anyone can.
