ET sits down with Eva Mendes and Gabriel Macht to discuss their upcoming superhero film 'The Spirit,' hitting theaters on Christmas Day.
Eva reveals that she felt no pressure to go on a strict exercise regimen for the film, in which she plays a sexy diamond-obsessed woman who's been married 14 times and killed all of her husbands. She also tells what her favorite powers would be if she could have them in real life.
The film, based on a comic book, stars Macht as a rookie cop who was murdered but returns from the dead as The Spirit, a hero whose mission is to fight evil forces. Also appearing in the movie are Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L. Jackson.
Macht says the producers tried to update his character while keeping his look mysterious and cool -- complete with all black clothes except for a red tie. "He has five leading ladies and falls in love with every woman he meets," Macht adds.
