Singing legend Madonna and director Guy Ritchie issued a statement Wednesday morning arguing that previous reports disclosing the amount of money involved in their divorce were incorrect.
The statement from the ex-couple says that the reports on the monetary terms of their divorce were "misleading and inaccurate," Reuters reports.
According to Reuters, Madonna's Spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg said on Monday that the singer had given her ex-husband between $76 and $92 million, which the pair is now refuting.
"A misleading and inaccurate statement, specifically in relation to the sums of money involved, was wrongly issued to AP this week," says a joint statement from Madonna and Ritchie. "The financial details of the settlement will remain private, save to say that both of us are happy with our agreement. Our primary concern, like any co-parents, is the care and well being of our children."
