ET's workin' up a sweat with fitness guru Richard Simmons, who gives us the 411 about how to dance away those holiday pounds and he shares his top five tips for looking and feeling great.

Richard tells ET about the fitness gym he started over 30 years ago, and explains why he is still passionate about his work.

"I opened the studio 36 years ago," Richard says. "The greatest gift I can give is my ability to teach."

Richard's new DVD, 'Supersweatin': Party off the Pounds,' is in stores Dec. 30. The DVD makes exercise fun with 50 minutes of aerobic dance set to ten chart-topping hits from the '80s, including: "I Wanna Dance With Somebody," "Hit Me With Your Best Shot," "If I Could Turn Back Time," "Mickey" and more!

Richard's been a busy man this holiday season. Aside from offering exercise classes at his Slimmons Studio in Beverly Hills, he greeted eager NYC shoppers outside Macys Herald Square at 5 a.m. on Nov. 28, Black Friday -- one of the busiest shopping days of the year. Richard helped pump-up the early-risers with energizing aerobics routines, and everybody enjoyed free samples of delicious Ocean Spray products.
