Coroner Reports Playboy Model Katie May Died After Chiropractor Ruptured an Artery in Her Neck

Playboy model Katie May's death stemmed from a visit to her chiropractor, ET confirms.

The 34-year-old model and social media star died in February. At the time, her family told ET that May had died from suffering a "catastrophic" stroke after injuring her neck during a photo shoot.

LA County Coroner's officials now tell ET that May "died from infarction of the brain along with vertebral artery dissection."

The model's death been ruled accidental with the cause of death stemming from "neck manipulation from a chiropractor."

Shortly before her death, May, known as the "Queen of Snapchat" tweeted about injuries to her neck.

"Pinched a nerve in my neck on a Photoshoot and got adjusted this morning," she wrote on Jan. 29, just six days before she died. "It really hurts! Any home remedy suggestions loves? XOXO." 

"It still hurts, going back to chiropractor tomorrow xoxoxo," she wrote in another tweet two days later.

In the wake of her death, May's family set up a GoFundMe page to help support the costs of raising her 7-year-old daughter, Mia.
