Tom Cruise Reprises His Most Iconic Roles With James Corden in Less Than 10 Minutes!

To recreate 23 movies in less than 10 minutes, you’ve got to have some serious talent. That’s why James Corden brought in Tom Cruise on Wednesday night to reprise some of his most iconic roles from his lengthy film career.

But when The Late Late Show host asked the action star if he was ready to tackle his famous parts again, Cruise, 54, replied, “No, I’m not ready, but I’ll do it. Let’s go!”

Naturally, they started off with Cruise’s 1986 classic Top Gun, and from there acted out scenes from Days of Thunder, Tropic Thunder, War of the Worlds, Minority Report, Rain Man, Mission: Impossibles I, II, III, Ghost Protocol, and Rogue Nation, Jerry Maguire, Born on the Fourth of July, Rock of Ages, Interview With the Vampire, Eyes Wide Shut, A Few Good Men, Cocktail, The Last Samurai, Vanilla Sky, Jack Reacher, Edge of Tomorrow, and Risky Business.

Throwing on wigs, shades, and a variety of memorable outfits, Cruise effortlessly slipped back into character. When playing Chief John Anderton from Minority Report, the three-time Oscar nominee brought up a hologram of Corden, saying, “We have a white male. He has a fake British accent, the physique of a snowman, and zero muscles.”

“It’s not zero muscles!” Corden complained.

“This is my career! Let’s move on,” Cruise fired back.

When the pair reached Jerry Maguire – the beloved romantic comedy about to hit its 20th anniversary – they got some special celebrity help. As Corden tried to give his best Rod Tidwell impression, Cruise’s co-star Cuba Gooding Jr. stepped out and asked Corden, “What are you doing?”

“Just doing the scene,” the bashful host replied.

“If you’re gonna do it, let me do it right,” Gooding Jr. replied before taking over his famous “show me the money” line.
