Actress Patricia Arquette has filed for divorce from her actor-husband Thomas Jane, and ET has the details behind the couple's split.

ET has obtained divorce papers filed by the actress Monday in Los Angeles, where she cites irreconcilable differences. Arquette is seeking sole legal and physical custody of the couple's 5-year-old daughter, Harlow.

Arquette, 40, and Jane, 39, married in May 2006. The actress is not seeking spousal support, and she requests the court deny Jane spousal support.

Arquette is an Emmy-winning star of NBC's "Medium." Jane, who has starred in films 'The Mist' and 'The Punisher,' was placed on a year-long probation in September after he pleaded no contest to a drunken driving count.
