Authorities have revealed the cause of death of Paula Goodspeed, the "American Idol" contestant found dead in her car outside Paula Abdul's home.

The Los Angeles coroner's office has found 30-year-old Goodspeed to have had "acute multiple prescription drug intoxication" and has ruled her death a suicide.

Abdul told ET in November of last year when the tragedy occurred, "I am deeply shocked and saddened by what transpired…My heart and prayers go out to her family."
