A new ad made by animal rights group PETA has been banned from airing during the Super Bowl game because it was reportedly deemed to be too racy. ET has the details!
Michael McGraw, spokesperson for PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), tells ET:
"Lingerie-clad women caressing broccoli spears, enjoying an odd asparagus moment, and kissing a pumpkin are too racy for Super Bowl audiences, says NBC. The network has benched PETA's new TV ad launch promoting vegetarian foods -- a campaign PETA had commissioned specifically for the big game."
McGraw tells ET that PETA received a detailed e-mail by a representative at the peacock network that requested PETA edit parts of the ad before it could air.
PETA Senior Vice President Lisa Lange tells ET, "PETA's veggie ads are locked out while ads for fried chicken and burgers are allowed --even though these foods make Americans fat, sick, and boring in bed."
