Actor and former "ET on MTV" host Ryan Devlin is set to star with funnyman Cedric the Entertainer in a new ABC comedy pilot called "The Law."

The collaborative show between ABC and Dreamworks will focus on the lighter side of reserve police officers, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Devlin will play a rookie reservist in "The Law," while Mädchen Amick will portray a soccer mom-turned-reservist, the trade paper reports.

Devlin worked as a host for "ET on MTV" from 2000 to 2006 and starred alongside Dylan McDermott in the ABC show "Big Shots" in 2007.
