"Samantha Who" moves into the "Ugly Betty" timeslot this Thursday, March 26, when it premieres six all-new episodes in the 8:30 p.m. slot behind the new comedy, "In the Motherhood." ET talks to Christina Applegate to get the dish on the new season and her upcoming walk for breast cancer.

ET: What can fans of the show look forward to in this new group of episodes?

Christina Applegate: We have a lot of fun stuff with the girls. Now we are really getting to explore the other characters and everybody is starting to have a life. That has been fun to watch ... and it has been nice to not have to work as much.

Jennifer Esposito starts dating a basketball player with a secret. There is a really great episode that is mostly myself and Tim Russ, who plays the doorman, getting to know each other -- not in the biblical sense, but in a friend's way.

ET: And Billy Zane is going to be playing your boss?

Christina Applegate: Last season Tim Olyphant played Winston Funk, who owned the company that Samantha worked at. We wanted him back for this five-episode arc and he was already doing "Damages," so we had to find somebody else. We found Billy Zane and he is wonderful. He is coming on in four weeks. He comes back into Samantha's life and she ends up working at the company again, but in a different capacity.

ET: Is there any special direction that Samantha is taking with her life?

Christina Applegate: She is trying to take charge of her life. The first season she was trying to figure out who this person was and cleaning up the mistakes that this person left for her. Now it is her trying to figure out who she is. She has two years of experiences now and that is starting to mold who she is and who she is going to become. She is not as innocent as she first was. She is kind of in her terrible twos.

ET: Do you think Samantha will ever get her memory back ... or would that be jumping the shark?

Christina Applegate: You have to have a premise and that is our premise. That is the backbone of our show. So, no. The little bits that come in here and there are enough -- keep us true to what we started out doing. If she got it all back, she wouldn't be the person she is. She would be someone else, so we keep it the way she is.

ET: Any special guest stars you can tell us about?

Christina Applegate: Angie Harmon is coming up in one of them. If we get to show all 11, we have John Taylor from Duran Duran. He is really good. If they show all 11 episodes, you will see him.

ET: Is there a possibility that not all 11 will air?

Christina Applegate: Yes. There is no plan in place after the first six.

ET: You are going to be one of the celebrity hosts for the 2009 EIF Revlon Run/Walk For Women on Saturday, May 9th. Can you talk about your involvement with that?

Christina Applegate: I have always done the Revlon Run/Walk. I haven't done it for the past few years for a couple of reasons. It just seemed the exact thing I should do. This time I am doing it as a host because it brings a lot more awareness to what we are doing that day. It is a bittersweet moment.

ET: Does it have more significance for you now because of your own battle?

Christina Applegate: Of course. Before I was running for my mom and all those women; now I am a part of it. It is very emotional. I am happy to be a part of it.

ET: It sounds as if it is a sisterhood.

Christina Applegate: It is. It is a sorority you never wanted to get hazed for.
