Levi Johnston, the father of Sarah Palin's grandson, is appearing on "The Tyra Banks Show" and opening up about the circumstances surrounding his son's conception.

In the interview, Tyra asks Levi, "Did [Sarah Palin] think you were abstinent?" and Levi responds, "No."

When Tyra asks Levi whether he and Bristol were "practicing safe sex," he responded, "Yeah," but admitted later that it was only "most of the time." For the full clip, watch our video, and for the full interview, tune in to Monday's "Tyra."

News broke shortly after Sarah Palin accepted the Republican nomination for Vice President that her high school aged daughter was pregnant and was planning to marry the father of her baby. Bristol gave birth to Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston in December, only a few months after her 18th birthday. Earlier this year, it was reported that she and Levi had broken up.
