Anne Hathaway Sheds Tears in Dramatic New Role?

Academy Award-nominated actress Anne Hathaway is showing off her stellar acting chops -- and it's all in a new promo for the 2009 MTV Movie Awards, airing live on MTV on May 31.
Check out the funny video to see an emotional Anne sitting at the hospital bedside of a dying elderly woman (played by the awards show's host, Andy Samberg).
The 2009 MTV Movie Awards will feature appearances by Denzel Washington, Cameron Diaz, Ryan Reynolds, Vanessa Hudgens and other film stars who will present the Golden Popcorn awards to this year's winners.
This will be the first year in which fans chose the final nominees up for the big awards. The fans gave the most nods to 'Twilight' and 'Slumdog Millionaire,' with each film receiving nominations in six categories.
The big show kicks off live on Sunday, May 31 at 9 p.m. from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, Calif.
