Sherri Shepherd gets to turn back time: The spunky "View" co-host never attended her own prom when she was in high school, so now she's getting a second chance two decades later -- and ET has an exclusive preview!

"I'm so excited!" says Sherri. "I'm back in my home town of Chicago, here for a very special event -- I'm going to my prom! But this time it's going to be different, because guess who I'm going with? MVP!"

WWE superstar Montel Vontavious Porter -- aka "MVP" -- escorted his main squeeze Sherri to the prom at her alma mater, Hoffman Estates High School in Chicago. The dashing date flew in from Mexico just for the event -- he had never attended his own prom either -- picked up his tuxedo, had his hair done and got a limo to ride in style, with the champagne overflowing!

When they entered the prom together -- the high school gym, of course -- the DJ played MVP's theme song, "I'm Comin'" by Silkk the Shocker.

"I feel like we're the black Ken and Barbie," jokes Sherri.

"I have this smile plastered on my face," agrees MVP.
