ET was there as Betty White played host to some of New York's hunkiest male assistants Thursday night at a special screening of her new romantic comedy 'The Proposal,' starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds. "Well, you know who started that rumor? Sandra Bullock!" Betty tells ET.

At the special "guys night out" screening of the movie, Betty also opened up about how her late husband Allen Ludden proposed to her. Plus, she revealed her celeb dream-date (Robert Redford) and offered her impressions of Sandra and Ryan.

In 'The Proposal,' opening in theaters June 19, Sandra stars as a demanding Big Apple boss who persuades her miserable assistant (Ryan) to marry her after her visa application is denied. Betty plays Ryan's feisty Grandma Annie -- just one of the eccentric relatives Sandra is confronted with during a trip to the family home in Alaska!
