With only weeks to go until Johnny Depp's highly anticipated summer movie, 'Public Enemies,' hits the big screen, we're sitting down with the cast.
Our Kevin Frazier got the scoop on the film about Chicago gangsters on top of a skyscraper in the heart of the Windy City with the film's daring cast! Johnny, Christian Bale and Marion Cotillard told all about 'Public Enemies' with a backdrop of breathtaking Chicago views, getting perilously close to the roof's edge as they told all about the film and their characters!
"I got a sneaking suspicion that he was a very lovable character," Johnny told Kevin of the complexity of playing John Dillinger. "His choice of occupation was, you know potentially questionable," Johnny admitted, however.
Christian, who plays Johnny's movie nemesis, said of Johnny's character: "People wanted Dillinger to get away with it, you know? The myth of him, is one that is a very charming myth."
'Public Enemies' pits Johnny's 1930s bank robber Dillinger against Christian as FBI agent Melvin Purvis. Marion comes along for the ride as Dillinger's girlfriend Billie Frechette, while Channing Tatum plays henchman Pretty Boy Floyd, and Billy Crudup leads the FBI as J. Edgar Hoover.
'Public Enemies' hits theaters on July 1.
