As we head into the Fourth of July, ET asked the stars to give a shout out for the red, white and blue, telling us why they are proud to be an American. Here is what they had to say.

'Transformers' star Josh Duhamel tells ET he is proud to be an American for numerous reasons, but he is concerned with the economy right now, so he urges us to buy American, saying, "As Americans right now, it's important we buy American automobiles, clothing, and whatever, because we need to get the economy on track."

Suzanne Somers declares: "To live free is such a privilege when you see how so many others are living. So, yes, to be born in the country is a privilege and God bless America."

There are several stars who are proud to be Americans right now, because of the fact that the president of the United States is Barack Obama. Among them are Michelle Pfeiffer, Jack Black, Kathy Bates and Blake Lively, who tells ET, "I think it's such an amazing, amazing thing we have them leading our country. It makes me proud."

For Queen Latifah and other stars, being an American simply rock. She says, "I'm proud to be an American because we are one giant melting pot of people and functions, and you can make it anywhere in the world as an American."

For Joy Behar, it is the great place in the world to live. She adds, "We all bitch and carp about it, but it's still the best place to live."

And Larry King is proud of the Bill of Rights, pointing out, "Without that First Amendment, we wouldn't be where we are. I can talk to you, and you can go out and say the president stinks, and that's why I'm proud to be an American."

"Twilight" star Taylor Lautner also shares his reasons: "The freedom and family and friends."
