ET has confirmed with the Los Angeles coroner's office that they are conducting toxicology tests on the brain of Michael Jackson.
Assistant Chief Ed Winter tells ET that the coroner will return the brain to Jackson's family once the tests are complete. He says it is not uncommon for a coroner to hold onto the brain or parts of the brain for testing.
Winter also tells ET that some families have been known to delay a burial until the brain is returned.
