Kathy Griffin's enjoying life on the A-List today as she basks in the glow of two Emmy nominations. And with the newly surfaced footage of Michael Jackson's Pepsi commercial accident making headlines, she reveals an incredible connection to the King of Pop on that fateful day!

Kathy was an extra on the commercial, shot in 1984, and she tells ET's Kevin Frazier, "I remember everything about that moment -- I was way in back of the crowd scene, and when it happened, we didn't really know exactly what happened at the moment, and it's really fascinating to watch that footage because you can tell that Michael doesn't know for a minute, and being the consummate pro, he keeps dancing and stuff.

"To see Michael Jackson come out with the glove and the sparkly outfit, and he was so thin, I have to admit it's one of those moments that you look at him and go, 'Is that really that person?' And it was really exciting to see him," she adds.

Kathy's "My Life on the D-List" has been nominated for Outstanding Reality Program and her TV special "Kathy Griffin: She'll Cut a Bitch" has been nominated for Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Special. She sported a sparkly tiara just for the occasion!

"Don't mind my pearls and tiara -- and my Emmy nominations!" she proclaims, joking about when she heard the good news: "Well, the first thing I did was I kicked Jon Gosselin out of bed, because he was spending the night with me again since we're having an affair. … I screamed with delight and squealed and just took the wrinkles out of this dress that I've been sleeping in all night."

Kathy is hosting the Creative Arts Emmys this year, and she says, "I'm going to take Ryan Seacrest as my date, and he doesn't know it yet. But when he finds out he's going to be really, really excited. I think the two of us will probably wear matching gowns, like the Olsen twins."
