'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' conquered the weekend box office bringing in $79.5 million and $159.7 million since debuting last Wednesday, studio estimates report.
The sixth installment to the film franchise accumulated $20 million more than the previous movie, 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix'. which grossed $139.7 million two years ago.
'Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs' and 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' returned to the No. 2 and No. 3 spots at the box office, making $13.8 million and $17.7 million. The No. 1 film from last weekend, 'Bruno,' plummeted to the No. 4 spot at the box office, only pulling in $8.4 million.
'The Hangover and 'The Proposal' follow closely behind 'Bruno,' each grossing around $8.3 million.
