Marissa Jaret Winokur segued from "Dancing with the Stars" to hosting the "thinspirational" "Dance Your Ass Off," but while the contestants are losing weight, Winokur tells ET things are going much more slowly with her.

"I am doing a Facebook [diet thing], I am doing a Twitter thing," she tells ET. "Basically, I am reaching out to anyone who can help me lose weight. It is a slow process of needing some more love than I have. It is going slowly."

And when it is pointed out that weight-loss gurus always says that when you lose weight slowly, it is more likely to stay off, she jokes, "I don't think they meant this slowly."

"Dance Your Ass Off" will air its first season finale on Monday, August 31, which has been expanded to 75 minutes, followed by the just-announced reunion show on Monday, Sept. 7, which will catch up with the contestants to see how they have changed, physically and emotionally, since they shook and rattled their rolls away.

"This show is way more than I ever thought it would be," Winokur reveals. "I thought, 'This will be really fun and I am excited to be a part of it.' But even when I saw the first episode, I was so proud to be a part of it. I expected people to like it and maybe in season two or three it would pick up, so I couldn't believe what a hit it was off the bat."

Winokur says she is also surprised at how much she bonded with the contestants.

"We are together on the set for three days, but I also go to the loft whenever I can," she says. "Now that the show has wrapped, we e-mail and Facebook. They are very fragile and sweet and we help each other."

"Dance Your Ass Off" airs Mondays at 10 p.m. on Oxygen.
