In part two of ET's Beatles exclusive, Yoko Ono, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr discuss the life and death of John Lennon.

John's widow, Yoko Ono said, "I just did my best and that's all I could do. It was a very strange situation. And I was determined to live a long life, a healthy life, for my son [with John, Sean]."

Paul said of the day that John was killed by a deranged fan: "I was at home with [my late wife] Linda and I got a phone call from my manager and he said, 'Sit down, John's been killed.'"

But Paul chooses to think back fondly on the days he spent with his band mate and close friend: "What I do is I look for the positive side. ... I'm the only guy who sat down with John and wrote all those songs. It's me. [I've] got to pinch myself, I can't believe it. … I just feel blessed to have known him and to have experienced his presence so intimately."

Paul also opened up about the day he met John. He told ET's Mary Hart, "We met at a village fete, like a school fair that kind of thing ... and yeah there was an instant chemistry. I didn't like him, he smelled like beer."

Mary replied, "You guys were young," to which Paul continued, "Yeah I was like, I was a year-and-a-half younger than him and I was kind of [like], 'Who is this guy?' as he leaned over. Not very impressed. But then we realized we had something together and got really friendly."

The last two living Beatles, Paul, Ringo, along with Yoko and Olivia Harrison (widow of Beatle George Harrison), came together to celebrate two important events -- the release of a new digitally remastered complete Beatles catalogue of albums, as well as the debut of the Beatles edition of the popular video game, Rock Band.

The Beatles: Rock Band, as well as their digitally remastered catalogue, will be available on Wednesday.
