ET talks to Russell Brand about his upcoming MTV VMA hosting duties, the performances and the highly anticipated trailer for Michael Jackson's 'This Is It.'

The always cool-tempered comedian says he's looking forward to Jay-Z and other acts, including Janet Jackson.

"I can't tell you details, because it's a secret," he says of Janet's planned tribute to her late brother, adding that he plans to hide under the stage during rehearsals to get a sneak peek!

As for poking fun at the very same celebs the VMAs honor, "It's just telling jokes," he says.
