"The Bachelorette"'s Jillian Harris brought fiancé Ed Swiderski to "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Thursday. Find out what the newly engaged Canadian cutie has to say about rumors that Ed had a girlfriend while he was courting her.

"We want everybody to know we are extremely happy and in love," Ed tells Ellen, so much so that the couple packed up Jillian's home in Vancouver this past weekend and are officially moving in together next week.

Jillian tells Ellen, "This engagement is very different than a typical engagement. As my father said, 'Jill, you are not walking down the aisle.' We are living together, adopting a dog, working charities together and attending family functions. Now we are trying to work at [our relationship at a ] more normal level."

Ed wants to make it clear that "in every sense of the word, I was a bachelor before I went on the show, but I am not perfect. I am a human being."

Ed goes on to say that he and Jillian have had some ups and downs in their relationship, and he is sure that fans of "The Bachelorette" would love to know the details, but there are things that are private between Jillian and him.

He goes on to say, "Jillian is one of the most intelligent women I know. I highly doubt that she would be with someone who is not a good person. We are very clear with each other. We know the truth of what happened."

As for the two women who revealed their stories about Ed in the media, he says, "I don't know what motivates someone to do something like that. I did have dialogue with these women and I know them pretty well. I don't know what caused that."
