Taylor Swift says that for all his public apologies for cutting off her acceptance speech, Kanye West has yet to actually speak to her directly.
The 19-year-old told the ladies of "The View" that she hasn't received so much as a phone call or email, saying, "he has not personally reached out or anything."
She said of the incident, "I think my overall thought process went something like, wow I can't believe I won -- oh, Kanye West is here," which elicited laughs from the audience as she went on with her train of thought: "Cool haircut Kanye, what are you doing, here? And then, ouch, and then, 'I guess I'm not going to get to thank the fans.'"
"I'm not going to say that I wasn't rattled by it," she added. "But I had to perform 10 minutes later."
The young pro did her thing -- as fellow stars tweeted their dismay at Kanye. "It was really wonderful that people were out there defending me," Taylor says.
Kanye appeared on Jay Leno's show Monday night, issuing a third apology and saying, "If there's anything I can do to help Taylor in the future, to help anyone, I'd like to."
