"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" returns for its 10th season next Thursday with a serial killer who does horrible things to people's bodies -- and Mary Hart gets all the grizzly details from the series' stars Marg Helgenberger, Laurence Fishburne, George Eads and Eric Szmanda on the ET stage.

"He does things with the internal organs that we don't necessarily find out about until we open the body up," Marg tells Mary.

The "CSI" cast is happy to be in an air-conditioned studio, because their roles take them to some gritty locations: strip clubs, seedy motels and roadside diners, among others.

So which of the actors, who play the series' top investigators, think they would be good at the job in real life?

That would be Marg, who tells Mary, "I think women make naturally good detectives … especially women who have been married because you have to remember where your spouse placed something. Women are more organized."

Marg got no argument from the three men who are her co-stars. Even though, Eric is the one who enjoys the time he spends in the lab, admitting, "It is a lot of fun to play with that stuff."

As for any new romances this year, now that William Petersen is gone, ending his on-screen fling with Jorja Fox, even though she will be back for several episodes this year, Marg says, "That's hard to say. They really want to keep it a mystery show -- a mystery show first and then it's a procedural after that."

And George, who reveals his character will be getting a promotion to Asst. Supervisor this year, adds, "I think it's more special when [romance is] done for one episode and then you don't revisit it for about five to six episodes."

As for Laurence's role this season, George says, "I like that [his character] had a lot to learn. To be somebody that is coming in, learning the process and learning how to use the technology, at least for me, I still learn something new every time I work with him."

"CSI" premieres its 10th season on Thursday, Sept. 24 at 9 p.m. on CBS.
