A member of John Travolta's legal team is speaking out to ET about whether the star will testify in the Bahamas next week at the extortion trial tied to his teenage son Jett's death.
A legal representative for actor tells ET that if Travolta is called to testify, he will testify.
Pleasant Bridgewater, a former senator, and Tarino Lightbourne, an ambulance driver, have pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to commit extortion and aiding to attempted extortion.
They stand accused of asking Travolta for $25 million, allegedly in order to keep a document secret. The document was allegedly somehow connected with John and wife Kelly Preston's son Jett, who passed away in the Bahamas on January 2 after suffering a seizure.
