"Jon & Kate Plus 8" mom Kate Gosselin says that the family dogs that were sent away last week by estranged husband Jon will be returning home.

Jon returned German Shepherds, Shoka and Nala, to the breeder, but Kate says that is only temporary.

"I'm feeling like I have not enough time to take care of my kids let alone give the dogs what they need, and the kids, surprisingly, weren't that upset about it," Kate said of the canines during a Q&A session for the Southern Women's Show in Charlotte, North Carolina. "They'll come back at some point, but for now I needed a break."

The reality show mom then joked of the dogs' size, saying, "I think in the winter I'm going to have them pull the kids on a sleigh."
