Three volleyball players mysteriously drop dead on tonight's "CSI: Miami," and the suspects are a couple of cougars!

"I think the term cougar is very funny," says Tia Carrere, who plays one of the murder suspects. "Some of my lines in the show echo how I feel about it. Personally, I think the term is offensive. I think older men have dated women half their ages without any sort of recourse."

Both Jacqueline Parsons (Carrere) and Amanda Collins (Cheryl Ladd) are watching some "pretty young things" play volleyball, when all of the sudden the men look as if they are having a fit, and three of them end up dead -- and the women find themselves under investigation.

"I was excited about [getting the role], because I don't get these roles often. I guess I am the other side of the coin," says Cheryl, who prefers the term "seasoned siren" to cougar.

As for why the ladies think there are so many TV shows featuring cougars on TV now, Cheryl says, "I think on some level women love it because it is a little payback. More mature men have always dated much younger women, and we have all tried not to laugh. It wouldn't necessarily be my choice, but I am not judging."

While Tia says, "I think it is fascinating that as women work their way up the socio-economic strata that has previously been a man's world, there has been a bit of role reversal, and I think television programming has reflected that."
