Sonny and Cher's little girl Chastity recently made the difficult decision to become a man, and now Chaz Bono sits down with our own Mary Hart for part two of an exclusive interview to talk about how his life has changed and how his decision has affected his relationships with the people he loves.

Asked what mom Cher feels about her child's experience, Chaz says he cannot speak for her, however everyone close to him has been nothing but supportive. "The people in my life are just happy that I'm doing this and seeing the positive effect that it's having on me," he says. "[I'm] trying to use my life experience to educate people. … I feel like I'm living in my body for the first time and it feels really good."

He says his body will be changing for about four to five years total and that he will be on testosterone for the rest of his life. Asked if he plans to undergo further surgery, he replies, "That's a personal decision and I don't really feel comfortable talking about anything below the waist."

Mary visited Chaz in his L.A. home where he lives happily with his girlfriend of four years, Jennifer Elia, and their three dogs. On this day, they were posing for a photo shoot for Getty Images.

"She's been amazing," says Chaz of Jennifer's support throughout the entire process. "I feel really grateful to be going through this with a partner." He adds that Jennifer knew about his intentions from the beginning of their relationship, "I didn't just spring this on Jennifer recently. This was something she knew about shortly after we met."

Asked if his transformation makes their relationship heterosexual, Chaz tells Mary, "Our relationship always modeled a heterosexual relationship, emotionally and intellectually. So now it does physically as well."

"The most important thing about this for me is that my outsides are finally starting to match my insides," says Chaz.
