Patrick Dempsey talks about why he races, what he really thinks of "Grey's Anatomy" and his world-famous nickname, "McDreamy."

Speaking about his love for the racetrack, he tells Los Angeles Confidential Magazine in this month's issue, "I think speed is only good if you can control it and channel it properly -- that's a real challenge in racing...it's a great escape for me."

As for the nickname on "Grey's Anatomy," the actor says it's a blessing and a curse. "It's a double edged sword," he tells the mag. "This will be my legacy. I will be McDreamy."

Dempsey also talks about his upcoming flick 'Valentine's Day' with Jennifer Garner -- and his real-life Valentine, wife Jillian. "I think our children really enhanced our love for each other," he says.
