Matthew McConaughey turned 40 on Wednesday, and he says he celebrated by partying all night long.
"The 30's were good to me and I'm really looking forward to my 40's, 'cause I'm a late bloomer," the star writes on his Celebrity MySpace page. "Got everything I need for a perfect 40th … a happy and healthy lady, son, and another baby on the way."
McConaughey says he celebrated with family and close friends on Tuesday night, and they even enjoyed a surprise performance by one of his favorite country musicians, Jamey Johnson.
"There were some epic stories told, a lot of laughs and definitely some roasting. Somehow! No blood or glass broken," he says, adding that the party ended around 4:30 a.m.
As for his Wednesday plans, the actor writes: "Going to spend some more time with my family and friends today, grillin' steaks and sippin' beers, celebratin' more to live for … and again thanks for all the b-day wishes."
