Internet sensation Susan Boyle is celebrating the release of her new album and talks to "Today" show host Matt Lauer about her famed journey and the song she recorded for those who have bullied her in the past.
Boyle took the world by storm when she first appeared on the U.K. show "Britain's Got Talent" where she sang a moving rendition of Les Misérables' "I Dreamed a Dream." She compares her life now to her first televised performance, saying, "I've grown up a bit. I've become sort of a lady."
Boyle's new album had the biggest CD pre-order sale that Amazon has ever seen. "It feels very surreal as if it's not really happening," the singer says of her fame.
On her album, Boyle recorded a cover of Madonna's song "You'll See." She says the track is dedicated to those who were mean to her in the past. "That was a statement I was trying to make because I was bullied a lot at school," she tells Lauer. "You may have been able to do that to me when I was young but you can't do that to me today."
Lauer's entire interview with Boyle will air on Thanksgiving Day during NBC's People of Year special.
