Meg Ryan, Justin Long and Cheryl Hines hit the red carpet Thursday night in New York for Cheryl's big-screen directorial debut, 'Serious Moonlight,' and the stars had a lot on their minds when it came to the serious Tiger Woods scandal.

"It's always good for guys to get a little reminder about fidelity and the perils of infidelity, and this [movie] is taking it to the extreme," says Justin, adding, "There are certain golfers who would want to be reminded of this."

"I am in no position to judge anybody," Cheryl tells ET. "I mean, I'm not perfect. I don't know anybody that is, you know? I'm sure it will all work out one way or another." Referring to the cautionary tale she directed, she adds, "It's probably not a good idea to cheat on anybody. Maybe this is a 'watch out what you do, because I might do something worse' [lesson]."

In the new comedy 'Serious Moonlight,' in theaters Friday, Meg plays Louise, a high-powered Manhattan lawyer who discovers that her husband of 13 years, Ian (Timothy Hutton), is cheating on her with a younger woman (Kristen Bell) and plans to leave her for good. Not content to let it happen, Louise takes Ian captive and forces him to work on their marriage -- and make him re-commit!

"She loses her mind; to duct tape someone to a toilet, what is that?" says Meg.

"Duct tape is the secret to a happy marriage -- it can work miracles!" jokes Cheryl. "In the wrong hands, Louise could be a very unlikable character -- she's doing some pretty hideous things -- but Meg is beautiful and charming and you just want to root for her, even though you know she's flawed."

'Serious Moonlight' was written by the late actor and filmmaker Adrienne Shelly, and the winner of the prestigious 2009 IFP/Adrienne Shelly Directors Grant, which supports women filmmakers, was also announced at the event.
