Radio host and child advocate Rosie O'Donnell joined military families in New York on Thursday for a screening of 'My Mom's A Soldier.'

"At the end of the day, there are mothers and fathers and daughters and sons and brothers and sisters and aunts and uncles," Rosie tells ET of the men and women of the military. "And they all go over there --not as troops, but as human beings with families. And the ones that are home suffer as well."

'My Mom's A Soldier' is a documentary that follows three sets of children whose mothers have been deployed to Iraq for a year. It is part of Web series that can be seen at www.intheirboots.com.
