Eric Bana reveals his first true love!

The actor gets behind the camera to direct his debut feature film -- a documentary profiling his love affair with the "beast," his Australian 1974 Ford GT Falcon Coupe.

Bana bought the car after seeing a Falcon Coupe in 1979's 'Mad Max.' He says, "I was 15 when we got the car. It was my first car. I've had it now for 25 years," explaining that his father bought him the car for 1,100 Australian dollars. He recalls that the car was full of dents and rust when he bought it: "It was a pile of junk, but to me, it was the greatest thing I'd ever seen."

The film follows Bana as he enters his car in Targa Tasmania -- a dangerous automobile competition. Other stars appearing in the film include Jay Leno and Dr. Phil McGraw.

'Love the Beast' premieres on the cable network Speed on Friday, December 18 at 8 p.m EST/ 5 p.m. PST.
