"Survivor: Somoa" finalist Russell Hantz spoke to ET on Sunday night after opponent Natalie White was voted the winner of the $1 million prize and the coveted title of being the sole survivor left standing.

Though not surprised by his loss, Russell was disappointed. He said, "You put so much into the game. I was so focused out there. I knew that I didn't win....I can read them. That's what I'm good at. I knew that Natalie won the game."

He cited having "bitter people on the jury" as the reason he did not garner more votes. Despite the outcome, Russell said, "There's not a thing I would have done differently in the game. Not a thing...Everything I did was strategic."

Russell takes his newfound fame humbly, saying, "I have people that call me their hero. That's kind of weird for me to hear that because my grandfather was a hero. He was a prisoner of war...for 3 and a half years. He's a hero. I just play the game."

Premiering on CBS on February 11, 2010, the next season of "Survivor" is titled "Heroes vs. Villains." Russell, who said he "in one season, I went from hated to loved" discussed with ET whether he would be interested in joining the cast of this alumni show. He said, "I don't even know if I would want to do it again...It is a rough game."
